HOUSTON, July 15, 2026 – Axiom Space, a leader in commercial human space exploration, appoints Zach Gitomer as Chief Financial Officer and Erick Wegerer as Chief Information Officer.

Gitomer brings more than 15 years of global experience across corporate finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic advisory. Throughout his career, Gitomer has advised on approximately 100 strategic and financing transactions representing nearly $100 billion in aggregate transaction value.
Prior to Axiom Space, Gitomer advised innovative growth companies across private and public markets, helping management teams and boards of directors navigate critical strategic, financial, and capital allocation decisions throughout their lifecycle. He served in senior investment banking and capital markets roles at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and Citi, supporting many of the world's leading technology and growth companies.
Gitomer holds a bachelor of science in Finance and Accounting from the New York University Stern School of Business.
Wegerer brings deep expertise in leading technology strategy and building collaborative and high-performing teams. Previously, Wegerer served as chief information officer at Insitu, a Boeing company, where he worked on cloud infrastructure, enterprise resource planning, and cybersecurity initiatives while leading a large IT and Security team. He also served in leadership roles at GBW Railcar Services and Sage.
Wegerer holds a master's degree in Business Administration from Washington State University and a bachelor of science in Management Information Systems from Western Illinois University and several industry certifications.
