Axiom Space is excited to announce the appointment of Taylor Weeks Armentrout as the new Vice President of Government Relations. With extensive experience in political and government affairs, Taylor will play a crucial role in advancing Axiom Space's mission to build the world’s first commercial space station.
“Taylor is a seasoned political and government relations leader, maneuvering multiple levels of state and federal government to further space policy initiatives and advocacy,” said Jared Stout, Chief Global Policy Officer at Axiom Space. “In her role, she will manage the legislative and political portfolio to further the company’s objectives in the space sector.”
Originally from Houston, and now based in Washington, DC, Taylor began her government affairs career as a policy and legislative aide in the United States Senate, where she first engaged with space policy. This experience ignited her passion for space exploration and the vital role of government in supporting both on and off-planet initiatives.
Following her tenure in the Senate, Taylor dedicated several years to NASA Headquarters asa political appointee in the first Trump Administration, focusing on space policy, congressional outreach, and navigating the evolving political landscape during a period of significant growth in the space industry. As a Senior Advisor in the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, she became a key connector and policy expert on legislative matters impacting government space missions.

Since 2021, Taylor has transitioned to the private sector, honing her expertise incorporate space policy and legislative needs. Her unique blend of government experience and commitment to commercial space will be instrumental as she joins Axiom Space to expand the company’s policy leadership and strengthen relationships with government partners.
