Axiom Space Celebrates 100 Days of Remarkable Achievements

August 6, 2025

Axiom Space, the leading provider of commercial space infrastructure, proudly reflects on a transformative 100 days filled with significant achievements that underscore the company’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and international collaboration.

Pioneering Human Spaceflight

One of the most notable accomplishments during this period has been the successful Ax-4 mission, which marked a historic milestone in human spaceflight. For the first time, astronauts from India, Poland, and Hungary lived and worked aboard the International Space Station. This mission exemplified the power of commercial space to expand access and further international collaboration, achieving global impact – 20 mission days, 60-plus research activities, and 23 outreach events. Axiom Space continues to lead the way in commercial human spaceflight, having executed four successful missions to the space station.

Partnering to Advance Next-gen Spacesuit

Axiom Space also forged a critical strategic partnership with Oakley to develop the visor system for the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) – a non-traditional merger between the sports eyewear and space exploration industries. This collaboration set a new benchmark in human-rated space technology, ensuring that astronauts are equipped with the best optical performance for their missions on the Moon and beyond.

Progressing Space Infrastructure Development

The progress of Axiom Station, the world's first commercial space station, is accelerating. With construction of the pressure vessels underway in Italy, the final weld of the Payload Power and Thermal Module is complete. The team is preparing to connect the aft and forward sections of the PPTM primary structure, conduct flight certification tests, and ready the module shell for its trip to Houston for systems integration.

In addition to these advancements, Axiom Space secured a 5.5 million-dollar Texas grant to develop orbital data centers. This initiative will enhance our capabilities in data processing and storage in microgravity, further solidifying our position as a leader in commercial space infrastructure.

"I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished in just 100 days since I took on the role of Axiom Space CEO," said Tejpaul Bhatia. "Our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence is moving humanity toward a future where space is accessible to all, and the global space economy is thriving. Together, we are building a forever company that is well-positioned for growth and leading the way in space exploration."

The past 100 days have been a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Axiom Space team. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
