Axiom Space invites members of the media to attend a virtual press conference with the crew of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station. The Ax-4 crew will share insights into their final preparations, mission goals, and outreach activities and research for their mission aboard the space station. The press conference will be held virtually from the crew’s quarantine location in Florida, as they prepare to launch no earlier than Sunday, June 8 at 9:11 a.m. ET.
The Ax-4 crewmembers are Commander Peggy Whitson of the U.S., Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla of India, Mission Specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski of Poland, and Mission Specialist Tibor Kapu of Hungary.
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Ax-4 crew aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Dragon and the crew will dock with the space station on Monday, June 9 at approximately 11:45 p.m. ET.
