Where will the launch take place?

Ax-4 launch will lift off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Cape Canaveral, Florida.  

When will the launch occur?

NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX are reviewing launch opportunities for the fourth private astronaut mission to the International Space Station, Axiom Mission 4. Please monitor your email for updates.

Please note, many factors are considered before a launch attempt, even within hours of liftoff. When booking travel and accommodation, please keep in mind that variables such as weather or technical issues can cause a launch to become unfavorable and rescheduled to a later date. It is highly recommended to book refundable flights and hotels.

Which airports are nearby? 

Guests are responsible for booking travel to the launch. We highly recommend booking refundable flights due the dynamic nature of human spaceflight.

For public flights, we recommend the following airports:

  • Orlando International Airport (MCO):
    Approximately 20 minutes to Orlando, FL
    Approximately 50 minutes to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL
  • Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB):
    Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to Orlando, FL
    Approximately 1 hour to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL

Where should I book accommodations?

Guests are responsible for booking accommodations for the launch. We advise staying at accommodations close by and highly recommended booking refundable hotels due the dynamic nature of human spaceflight.

Registration and Transportation Hub

As launch day approaches, please pay close attention to updates sent via email regarding the registration and transportation hub.

How will I access the launch?

Each guest will be required to check in to receive their credentials to access the Ax-4 Launch Viewing Guest location. For more information, please refer to your Launch Event Agenda. This agenda will be emailed to you closer to the event.

  • Foreign Nationals
    • Foreign National guests must provide a valid passport at check in. No copies or facsimiles will be accepted.​
  • U.S. Citizens & ​U.S. Green Card Holders
    • U.S. Citizens and U.S. Green Card holders must provide a valid government issued identification at check in.
      ​​Due to the REAL ID Act, guests from states that are not compliant may be asked to provide a valid passport to attend the launch viewing event at OSB-II.
  • Children
    • Children under 16, who are U.S. Citizens do not need to provide ID at check in. ​​
    • Foreign National children will need to provide a valid passport at check in. ​​
    • All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the launch viewing event.

Are there any events prior to or following launch?

Axiom Space is not currently organizing any additional events.

Am I allowed to take photos at launch?

Yes! All guests are invited to capture photos and videos of the launch.
