Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) will be lifting off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, to embark on up to a 14-day mission docked to the International Space Station (ISS), where the Ax-3 crew will conduct a complement of microgravity research, technology demonstrations, and outreach activities. You are invited to bear witness as the Ax-3 astronauts —comprised of Commander Michael López-Alegría of the U.S. and Spain, Pilot Walter Villadei of Italy, Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravci of Türkiye, and Mission Specialist Marcus Wandt of Sweden —take off as the first all-European commercial astronaut mission to the ISS.

A WIDELY ATTENDED GATHERING (WAG) HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THIS EVENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER 13989.

Where will the launch take place?

Ax-3 launch will lift off from launch pad 39-A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

When will the launch occur?

The Ax-3 launch is currently targeted for no earlier than January 18, 2024, at 4:49 pm ET.

Please note, many factors are considered before a launch attempt, even within hours of liftoff. When booking travel and accommodation, please keep in mind that variables such as weather or technical issues can cause a launch to become unfavorable and rescheduled to a later date. It is highly recommended to book refundable flights and hotels. We recommend keeping the backup attempts in mind when planning your trip.

How will I access the launch?

Launch Registration is on January 18th. Please refer to your emailed agenda and launch guide for the registration time. Present your passport or US Government Issued ID

While you’re not required to be present for the entire duration, we recommend planning your arrival to allow for sufficient time for the registration process. Ensure you return to the Registration and Transportation Hub before the designated bus loading time.
